Pam Barnett was born and raised in Athens. She graduated from McMinn County High School in 1992 and Cleveland State in 1995 with an Associate of Applied Science degree in Business/Business Management. She is married and has a son, Marcus. Her hobbies include fitness and spending time with family. She first started in the veterinary field in 2000, where she stayed until 2006, then changing career paths to become a personal trainer. She returned to the veterinary medicine when ASAH opened in 2015, coming on board as the lead veterinary assistant.
Ashly Scapellato has always had a desire to work in the veterinary field. After graduating from Cleveland State Community College in 2016, she began working at Athens Small Animal Hospital. Ashly has four animals of her own, two rescue cats––Oliver and Cleo–– and two dogs––Gizmo and Gucci. When she's not working, you can find her with her nose in a book or teaching the youth at her church.
Kimberly Stewart attended Tennessee Wesleyan University and played women's soccer. She is continuing her nursing degree at the University of Tennessee in Knoxville. Kimberly is married and has a son. She has worked with Athens Small Animal Hospital since 2015.
Emily Roberts is a wife, mother, and an animal lover. She spends her days here at Athens Small Animal Hospital caring for patients, and then goes home to care for the many pets she fosters and rescues. She is the proud owner of rabbits, chickens, pigs, birds, snakes, cats, dogs, cows. Emily adores them all!
Tori Baker was born and raised in Tennessee. She values spending quality time with her family and going on adventures to new places. In addition to traveling, she enjoys hanging with her friends and shopping. Tori is a proud dog mom to a beautiful German Shepherd named Zara. She loves helping animals making ASAH the perfect fit.
Amber Scapellato is a senior at Tennessee Wesleyan University. She is currently working toward a degree in accounting. From a young age, Amber's always been an animal lover. When she's not working at the clinic, you can find her traveling or working out at the gym.
Gustavo Contreras is a true animal person who is committed to animal care––especially German Shepherds. He's the proud parent to Valentina, of course, she is a German Shepherd! Gus has been part of the Athens Small Animal team since 2017. He's bi-lingual and an excellent addition to our team.
Ali Rayburn has worked at Athens Small Animal Hospital since 2016. She loves helping animals––especially cats and horses. She is a proud cat mom to her five cats––Tux, Jude, Stormy, Sully, Prissy, and Terry. She graduated from Chattanooga State Community College in 2019 with a degree in fire science technology majoring in fire suppression. She's been with the Etowah Volunteer Fire Department for thirteen years.
