Dr. Kerri Prince
Dr. Prince has lived in McMinn County her entire life. Growing up on a diversified livestock farm and being active in 4-H and FFA sparked and promoted her interest in becoming a veterinarian.
Upon graduation from McMinn County High School, Dr. Prince began college at Cleveland State Community College and later transferred to The University of Tennessee in Knoxville, where she received a Bachelor of Science Degree in Agriculture with a major in Animal Science in 1993.
Prior to attending veterinary school, Dr. Prince worked with Tennessee DHIA and The UT Agricultural Extension Service. She attended The University of Tennessee College of Veterinary Medicine receiving the Doctor of Veterinary Medicine Degree in 2001. Dr. Prince then returned to McMinn County and has practiced veterinary medicine in Athens and the surrounding areas since.
In 2006, Dr. Prince began working part-time as a relief veterinariann as her family grew. She and her family live in Riceville with their two dogs, Oz and Ruthie, their cat Scuba Dave and pet rabbit, Fluffy.
